Regular vacuum-cleaners of a good brand can be used as airblowers, if the the fan is turned around, or the connection of the motor is reversed.

Many new vacuum-cleaners also use brush-less motors, and most up-to-date vacuum-cleaners allow variable rotational speed to be set by the operator, rpm (rounds per minute).

The temperature of the motor could be monitored by an ordinary houshold thermometer to avoid overheating.

Vacuum-cleaners also contain various filters that are useful for cleaning the air. A UV-light source could be fitted to the "holding-bay" to provide more protection and cleaning of the air that's passing through.
